Learn. Play. Grow.
Development Workshops
Fresh BC Talent Quest development workshops aim to improve young performers’ musical skills. We prioritize the learning and development of performers no matter what stage of growth they are at. Our programs are focused and engaging as we take the development of young performers seriously - but it wouldn't be a FBCTQ workshop without FUN and building life-long connections!
Take a look at some of our past workshops below:
Guitar Workshop

Fresh BC Talent Quest (EP) provided a 12 week basic guitar class one day a week for 11 students ranging from novice to amateur guitar players at L'Ecole Entre Lacs French school with support of Mr S. LaRochelle (principal) in Penticton. Meeting the class for the first; I said to the students, "by the end of y/our semester (we'll) be able to play at your up-coming Christmas show"!! You could have heard a pin drop in the room followed soon by 'looks of fear' and moaning. But at the end of 12 weeks, with a quick group practise, the students all performed [guitar] backing up two classmates singing the song the class picked for their concert!
AWESOME show. Was magic for parents, school and especially these students receiving a standing ovation from their peers, teachers and Mr LaRochelle.
Great memories for sure. We had FUN.
A great group of kids to work with!
Performers Workshop
Fresh BC Talent Quest hosted Performer Workshops at the Sandman Hotel (one of our generous sponsors) in Penticton. As well, the 2nd Music Industry Summit for parents, performers and local musicians was hosted here. These full-day workshops focused on developing live performance skills, voice-vocal coaching, techniques, enhancing performer confidence, as well as media interviews and presentations.
