Learn. Play. Grow.

Development Workshops

Fresh BC Talent Quest development workshops aim to improve young performers’ musical skills. We prioritize the learning and development of performers no matter what stage of growth they are at. Our programs are focused and engaging as we take the development of young performers seriously - but it wouldn't be a FBCTQ workshop without FUN and building life-long connections!

Take a look at some of our past workshops below:

Guitar Workshop

Fresh BC Talent Quest (EP) provided a 12 week basic guitar class one day a week for 11 students ranging from novice to amateur guitar players, taking place at L'Ecole Entre Lacs French school in Penticton with support of Mr S. LaRochelle, school principal. At the very first meet Denis said to the students, "by the end of our 12 weeks we'll be able to play for your upcoming Christmas show" and you could have heard a pin drop in the room! But of course by the end of the 12 weeks, our students played guitar while backing up two classmates singing the song that the class picked for their concert! This was a great group of kids!

Performers Workshop

Fresh BC Talent Quest hosted Performer Workshops at the Sandman Hotel (one of our generous sponsors) in Penticton. As well, the 2nd Music Industry Summit for parents, performers and local musicians was hosted here. These full-day workshops focused on developing live performance skills, voice-vocal coaching, techniques, enhancing performer confidence, as well as media interviews and presentations.
